「ということ」を英語で

意味

日本語での説明普通形の文や名詞のあとにつけて、それが結局どんな意味なのかを示します。言われたことを短くまとめて言い直すときは、「ということですね」の形でよく使います。

英語での説明Comes after a plain-form sentence or a noun and states what it amounts to; before です, it often sums up what was just said: 来ないということですか, “you mean they won’t come?”.
