ひらがな

Hiragana — The rounded, flowing script used for grammar endings, particles and everyday words that have no kanji or whose kanji are rarely used. Japanese children learn it first, and it's also what you see in the small reading aids printed above difficult kanji.

ず

あなたの言語で
zoo
ローマ字
zu
IPA
/zɯ/

Like 'zoo' with flat lips, though at the start of a word many speakers say something closer to 'dzoo'. It sounds the same as づ, and ず is the spelling you'll want almost every time.
