未来の締め切りから見る英語の表現:will have と will be
「I'll call you tomorrow.」(明日電話するね)の will は未来を表します。 「I've read the report.」(報告書を読みました)の have+過去分詞は、今ある結果を表します。「By the time I arrived, the shop had closed.」(着いたときには、店はもう閉まっていました)は、過去のある時点からふり返る言い方です。
I'll call you tomorrow.
I'm working now.
I've read the report.
By the time I arrived, the shop had closed.
「I'll have finished it by Thursday.」 その間の「I'll be working with a customer all morning.」
- A
The deadline for the report is Friday.
- B
OK. I'll have finished it by Thursday.
- A
Can I call you tomorrow morning?
- B
Sorry, I'll be working with a customer all morning.
- A
We have a meeting at three tomorrow. Will you have read my email by then?
- B
Yes, I'll have read it by two.
「I'll have finished the report by Friday.」(報告書は金曜日までには終わっています)。 「I'll be working at ten.」(10時には仕事をしています)。
I'll have finished the report by Friday.
I'll be working at ten.
「I finished the report yesterday.」(報告書は昨日終わりました)。 「I've finished the report.」(報告書は終わりました)。「I'll have finished the report by Friday.」
I finished the report yesterday.
I've finished the report.
I'll have finished the report by Friday.
she'll have と言い、she'll has とは言いません。「She'll have finished by noon.」(彼女は正午までには終わっています)のように、'll have、過去分詞、by、期限の順に並べます。 「We'll have read the email by three.」(3時までにはメールを読み終えています)。「They'll have done the report by Thursday.」(彼らは木曜日までには報告書を仕上げています)。
I'll / She'll / We'll / They'll have finished / finished the report / read the email / done the report by Friday / Thursday / noon / three.
I'll have finished the report by Friday.
She'll have finished by noon.
We'll have read the email by three.
They'll have done the report by Thursday.
「They'll be reading the report at nine.」(9時には、彼らは報告書を読んでいます)。ここでも will のあとは原形で、she'll be と言い、she'll is とは言いません。 「We'll be working all day on Friday.」(金曜日は一日中仕事をしています)。
I'll / She'll / We'll / They'll be working / working at home / reading the report at ten / at nine / tomorrow / all day on Friday.
I'll be working at ten.
She'll be working at home tomorrow.
We'll be working all day on Friday.
They'll be reading the report at nine.
「I won't be working on Saturday.」(土曜日は仕事をしていません)は、その日は仕事をしていないことを伝えます。 「Will you have finished by Friday?」(金曜日までには終わっていますか)。「Will you be working on Friday morning?」(金曜日の朝は仕事をしていますか)。
I won't have finished by three.
Will you have finished by Friday?
I won't be working on Saturday.
Will you be working on Friday morning?
「I'll finish the report on Friday.」(報告書は金曜日に終わらせます)は、終える日が金曜日だと言います。「I'll have finished the report by Friday.」(報告書は金曜日までには終わっています)は、金曜日にはもう終わっていて、もっと早いかもしれない、と言います。「I'll finish the report by Friday.」(報告書は金曜日までに終わらせます)も正しく、よく使われます。
「I'll start work at nine.」(9時に仕事を始めます)は始まりを言い、「I'll be working at ten.」(10時には仕事をしています)は途中を言います。 「I'll have finished by six.」(6時までには終わっています)は、遅くともそのときに終わります。
I'll finish the report on Friday.
I'll have finished the report by Friday.
I'll finish the report by Friday.
I'll start work at nine.
I'll be working at ten.
I'll be working until six.
I'll have finished by six.
「By Friday, we'll have been working on this project for six months.」(金曜日には、このプロジェクトに取り組み始めて半年になる)。 will have been+-ing
By Friday, we'll have been working on this project for six months.
まず「The deadline for the report is Friday.」(報告書の締め切りは金曜日です)と言い、結果を「I'll have finished the report by Friday.」(報告書は金曜日までには終わっています)と答えます。次に「The meeting is at three.」(会議は三時からです)と言い、「We'll have read the email by three.」(3時までにはメールを読み終えています)と答えます。 「I'll be working at ten.」(10時には仕事をしています)、「I won't be working on Saturday.」(土曜日は仕事をしていません)。
The deadline for the report is Friday.
I'll have finished the report by Friday.
The meeting is at three.
We'll have read the email by three.
I'll be working at ten.
I won't be working on Saturday.
